Is There Anybody Out There?

I've been thinking a lot lately about what I'm doing as a writer. In this age of media over-saturation, does anyone have time to read writing with the attention necessary for trans-formative meaning to enter their live, and if not is there any point in writing at all?

This is one among the endless questions presented by this age of technology, an age that has certainly been trans-formative: an age that is rapidly transforming the world to a place more conducive to machines than living organisms. Is the point of all out efforts to advance technology to finally replace ourselves with machines more efficient, and more profitable, than we are ourselves?

Where in all of this is the place for the individual, and does that really matter to any of us anymore, on this information super highway to nowhere?

As a sentient being (as opposed to the omnipresent voice of our self-created, insidious machine) I am asking to be heard. I am asking that we listen to one another and support one another, before the opportunity is irrevocably lost.

That is the point of this blog. Please support those who are striving to keep a place for human beings in an increasingly inhuman world. Human ideals must be supported if they are to continue to exist. We need to break the social chains that constrain us from being mutually supportive. Only the machine can endlessly pour out it's prefabricated ideas in a vacuum, and if we allow that to be the mechanism of our discourse, the vacuum that will finally consume us all.

Please read this blog, and buy and review my books, for I am a real human being, without any agenda, trying to present my ideas to other human beings. This is not a drill.

Thanks,

Brent
